Good news: A new version of Parallels Desktop for Mac that can run on Mac with Apple M1 chip is already in active development. It is important to note that currently available versions of Parallels® Desktop for Mac cannot run virtual machines on Mac with Apple M1 chip. With M1 Macs mere days away for early adopters, those who need to run virtual machines on their Macs may have a bumpy time ahead.
Thanks to Parallels, the venerable Apple virtual machine software, the Windows 10 for ARM preview will run on an M1 Mac with surprisingly workable performance. Just follow our Installation Assistant and click “Install Windows.” On Apple M1 chip-powered Mac computers you can install Windows by following the instructions in this article. 
On Intel-powered Mac computers it is simple to install Windows. This comes with a special USB 3 driver that without, the Mac simply won’t see USB devices. ⚠️ Before continuing, install the Virtualbox Extension Pack, if you haven’t already. 
The Mac is no longer needed at this point.
Copy this over to where your Virtualbox is setup. Thanks to Parallels, the venerable Apple virtual machine software company, the Windows 10 for ARM preview will run on an M1 Mac with surprisingly workable performance. Wait until the next chip version comes out. If you need eGPU support, DO NOT BUY these M1 Macs that were just announced. Just like there is a limit to the number of ports that these devices have in comparison to the previous INTEL models.
